Site Suitability Survey for Micro Generation
Flanagan Engineers can evaluate your site and advise whether it is suitable for a planning exempt, electricity generating Domestic Wind Turbine. Upon completion, we will provide you with a report outlining the following information:
- Indicate whether or not the site is suitable for a wind turbine.
- Recommend the best location for a turbine on your property.
- Ensure that all planning exemption guidelines can be adhered to.
- Indicate average annual wind speeds at your site.
- Provide advice regarding ESB grid connection.
- Provide an estimate of energy output based on the "worst case" scenario.
RETScreen
Flanagan Engineers have become proficient in the use of RETScreen, an economic modelling programme that enables the user to develop a site specific costing strategy for Wind Turbines of all sizes. Using this tool Flanagan Engineers will provide their clients with in-depth costings to the standard required by financial institutions.
